The lower panel shows the IMD (black) and the proportion of animals in ROH at each marker (green). The inset shows a short region with normal IMD, and which could be a true ROH island. However, the region is flanked by big gaps, the edges of which could also be true ROH. The whole region is detected as a ROH in most of the individuals
