The horizontal axis indicates the position of the variant in the amino acid sequence of the protein. The vertical axis is the minor allele frequency, which shows that discordant variants are rare. Grey and black coloured points indicate replication. Grey dots in targeted sequencing are variants that are not present in the Ensembl variation database. Grey dots in the whole-genome sequenced lines are variants that are not replicated by the targeted exon sequencing.
