Results of SpermFISH using selected oligo-banding probes on boar spermatozoa. a Hybridization of SSC12 and SSC18 probes on normal boar spermatozoa; over-denaturation of DNA led to multiplication of probe signals; b hybridization on less decondensed spermatozoa heads gave one signal per probe (more certain identification); and c hybridization of SSC3 and SSC6 probes on a balanced spermatozoon from the rcp(3;6) carrier.
