Estimates of heritability of growth (ADG) and viral load (VL) are shown at early-, mid- and late-stages of infection (on the diagonal), and of genetic and phenotypic correlations between the traits (lower and upper off-diagonals, respectively). Phenotypic variance was calculated by summing animal, litter and pen within-trial variance components. Heritability was calculated by dividing the animal variance component by the phenotypic variance. Standard errors are in parentheses.
